LEEDS, MAINE SEPTEMBER 2014— The People of CN Brown Company held their 27th Annual MDA Golf Classic on Wednesday and fundraised over $34,000 for the MDA of Maine. Vendors from all over New England came out to sponsor CN Brown’s commitment to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
General Manager of CN Brown Company, Jeff Jones, greeted golfers alongside State of Maine Junior Goodwill Ambassador, Jared Conant. “It truly is incredible the support and dedication the CN Brown Company has given to the MDA for years. Without this amazing company, services provided locally to our families wouldn’t be possible,” said Ashley King, Executive Director of the MDA of Maine. “Beyond raising vital funds for services such as research, clinic, equipment repairs, and Summer Camp, the people of CN Brown Company care of our children living with muscle disease as if they were their own. They won’t stop until a cure is found.”
The CN Brown Company started out as a small lumber company in Lovell, Maine, back in 1948. It has diversified and grown into The Big Apple Food Stores, Red Shield Heating Oil and a number of major branded service stations throughout ME, NH & VT. In 2012, CN Brown Company added the CN Brown Electricity, LLC, and they are now a full service energy provider. The people of CN Brown Company play an important role in the communities they serve and continue to be the top sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Maine. Since 1986, the People of CN Brown Company, their vendors, and customers, have raised over 4.7 million dollars for the MDA of Maine.
