CN Brown Company’s Employee Spotlight – August 2022 – Brandy Clukey!

Enjoy what Brandy shared about her journey with CN Brown Company:

Q. How did your career progress at CN Brown Company?

I started working at the Lewiston Heating Oil Office on February 14, 2012, as a bookkeeper, now called Customer Service Representatives.  I was promoted to a dual manager position in Brunswick, managing both the Big Apple Store and Heating Oil Office.  I was then promoted to Territory Manager, over our Southern Maine and Southern New Hampshire heating oil locations.  In 2021, I was promoted to Retail Sales Manager over all 25 Energy Office locations, and a team of three excellent territory managers.  Oh, the fun I’m having now!

 Q. What’s the best part of your current job?

The best part of my job now is I can make positive changes.  I enjoy the team of people I work with in the field and at the corporate office.  I’ve enjoyed my journey up to the seat I’m in now and will continue to strive for greatness.

Q. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

Staffing issues- we need drivers!  Our current drivers are awesome!  They work hard,  and simply put, we just need more of them.  We have competitive wages, nice vehicles and equipment, we improve our facilities each year…we’re moving forward.  My goal is to increase the level of happiness in our current energy offices.  I truly want everyone to enjoy coming to work!

Q. What’s your favorite memory from working at CN Brown Company?

My favorite memory was going on a team building trip to Lancaster, PA, with Bonnie and Sarah to learn more about our heating oil system. I drove them down, and wore my Cab Driver Hat. It really looked like the YMCA crew hat, black with the silver chains. (I still have it). We had the opportunity to not only learn about what our system could do, but also had the chance to interact with other oil companies from all over the USA. We had the opportunity to walk around Lancaster and go to the different shops that were local on a walking tour. It gave us real quality time; a true team building experience.

Another great memory was going to Cabbage Island and meeting with Bonnie and Sarah to go shopping before heading over to the Island. We met up early and just hung out and shopped. Being with the rest of the Big Apple Team and cheering on the winning team members was a great time.

Q. Why would you recommend working for CN Brown Company?

WE are a company that is full of opportunity and growth. We care for one another and only wish great success for our team members. We are not just a number we are a person with a name.

We thank you for your 10 years of service, Brandy!
