How did your career progress at CN Brown Company:

I trained on a trailer for two weeks, then was put on the ten wheeler for awhile. I then drove trailer for nights and weekends, and the wheeler some. Then full-time on transport – some weeks 7 days a week. Always 6 days per week and many 12-14 hours shifts. I served 20+ years with the National Guard – serving on the weekends and training annually for 2 weeks.

What’s the best part of your current job:

The independence and trust the company allows us. We get the job done, no matter what.

What’s the most challenging part of your job:

Traffic and weather.

What’s your favorite memory of working at the company:

All the men I have worked with and the advance in trucks and equipment. You have to remember when I started there was no 295 across Portland, Maine. I watched them build that.
