CN Brown Company’s Employee Spotlight for October, Richard Barker!

Enjoy what Richard shared about his journey with CN Brown Company:

How did your career progress at CN Brown Company?

I started as a transport driver, on the PM shift, late March 1987. After about 12 months, I moved to the day shift. I’ve been there ever since.

Do you have any projects you are particularly proud of?

I worked on the TQM (Total Quality Management) project and came up with the idea to label fill pipes under the lid for driver ease when dropping products.

What’s the best part of your current job?

I like to work independently. I have the flexibility to set my own route.

What’s the most challenging part of your current job?

Remembering which compartment, which product is in, to avoid cross dumping.

What’s your favorite memory from working at CN Brown Company?

Chuckling, “Well, what happens in transport, stays in transport.” Most know me as Stretch, and our team likes to practical joke a lot.

Why would you recommend working for CN Brown Company?

There is minimal pressure from dispatch. The company puts their driver’s safety first, an example, inclement weather, our safety is first. Nice equipment would be another reason.

Thank you for your 33 years of service to our company, Richard! We appreciate YOU!
