CN Brown Company’s Employee Spotlight- May 2022 – Susan Brown!

Check out what Susan shared about her journey with CN Brown Company:

Q. How did your career progress at CN Brown Company?

I started out in Accounts Receivable department reconciling Heating oil accounts. 2 years later I moved over to the Accounting Department and began reconciling C-Store Inventories. Eventually I moved up to the PDI/Inventory team leader which I still hold that position now. I reconcile a few accounts and am a resource for the field for their daily paperwork and inventories.

I have worked on a few projects over the years. We have had a few computer conversions and I was part of one of them. One project I’m particularly proud of is helping develop handouts/training sheets for the field to help them with their daily paperwork especially for incoming new managers.

 Q. What’s the best part of your current job?

Always learning and finding ways to improve many of the things we do here.

The best part of my job would be the people I met over the years. I have made so many lasting friendships both at the corporate office and out in the field.

Q. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

I would say the most challenging part of my job in recognizing that each person learns a different way. You need to adapt your training techniques to suit each individual so that they get the most out of what you’re training them on.  Being one of the many resources for the field often means training over the phone. This can sometimes be challenging.

Q. What’s your favorite memory from working at CN Brown Company?

There are so many.  My favorite memory would be participating in the Christmas parades. Between working on the floats and walking in the parade was always such a fun time.

Q. Why would you recommend working for CN Brown Company?

The flextime here is amazing. Leaving for appointments or having to skip out early due to weather or family obligations is never an issue. We are like family here…always helping each other out when needed.

Thank you, Susan, for your 21 Years of Service! We appreciate YOU!
